MEET THE ARTIST

Hello friends! My name is Bailey. My artist name is Basil Shaye. I have been creating art all my life, but started to take it seriously in high school when I was offered a spot in the advanced placement art class for one of my paintings. Once I submitted my portfolio, I took a few years off of creating art to travel with my [now] husband. In April of 2022, I began to create again and have not gone a day without letting my inner creative run wild.

I started Basil Shaye Art Studio as a way to explore my creativity in a more professional manner. Art has always been the only thing that has allowed me to enter a state of "flow" and I'd decided that I wanted to take being an artist more seriously. I am currently working on building a portfolio while still working on commissions from patrons in the meantime. I have never felt so passionate about something as I have art. I look forward to showcasing my work and continuing to explore my inner creative for years to come.

Thank you for all of the love and support.
